About Steve Wirtel
Steve Wirtel is a licensed professional engineer with over 20 years of experience, most of it focused on sales and marketing of professional services and technology.
He was Partner and National Director of Client Services for Carollo Engineers, a consulting engineering firm specializing in water treatment planning, design, and construction management. Steve led the firm's business development activities, nearly doubling its new business from $120 to $200 million annually over a three year period.
Before that, Steve was Executive Vice President of Municipal Sales and Marketing for U.S. Filter where he managed a national sales team responsible for over $400 million of capital equipment sales annually.
Steve has had extensive sales and marketing training including Miller-Heiman Strategic Selling and the Counselor Salesperson. But his life changed when he met Dag Knudsen and experienced "Design and Delivery of Winning Presentations and Proposals." For nearly 20 years, he has been putting the principles into practice and helping others do the same.
He was educated at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering.
